From the 146 applications received, a total of 35 were disqualified due to non-compliance to SEDA Malaysia’s requirements. The evaluation process to shortlist the applications was conducted by an Assessment Committee chaired by the COO of SEDA Malaysia with members comprising representatives from the Energy Commission (ST), the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) as well as the Director of Feed-in Tariff, SEDA Malaysia.

An independent auditor was also present throughout the evaluation process to supervise the scoring and selection process. Out of the 111 remaining qualified applications, 57 were then shortlisted by the Assessment Committee and subsequently submitted to KeTTHA. The auditor has since provided a preliminary observation confirming SEDA Malaysia being compliant with the procedures set-forth and that the evaluation was done in a transparent manner. The official report is in the midst of being prepared by the auditors and will be submitted to the CEO of SEDA Malaysia as soon as it is finalised. The successful applications were then selected by the upper management of KeTTHA from the 57 shortlisted applications.
