Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia is a statutory body formed under the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Act 2011. The key role of SEDA Malaysia is to administer and manage the implementation of the feed-in tariff mechanism which is mandated under the Renewable Energy Act 2011.

We seek talented, dedicated, passionate, relentless, innovative and highly motivated individuals to join us in developing the renewable energy industry and enforcement of the Renewable Energy Act 2011 within a strong regulatory framework. Candidates should be positive thinking, analytical and conceptual, able to grasp and apply theory and enjoy robust discussion. Strong communication and analytical skills are key requirements. Innovative, dedicated and highly motivated Malaysians are invited to apply for these vacant positions:


  1. Assistant Director (Corporate Communications)
  • Degree in communications/ journalism/ mass communications/ marketing/ advertising/ creative/ graphic & design;
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the communications sector;
  • Work experiences within government agencies, government-linked or public listed companies and large corporations would be highly advantageous;
  • Prior knowledge of renewable energy and familiarity with feed-in tariff FiT) and Net Energy Metering (NEM) would be highly advantageous;
  • Mastery in both spoken and written English and Malay;
  • Able to communicate and write in other languages would be highly advantageous; and
  • Experience in advertising, promotions, sales, marketing and public relations.

Potential candidates must possess the following:

  • Passionate on the subject matter of sustainable energy;
  • Possess a good attitude and being confident;
  • Need to be presentable and possesses PR skills;
  • Need to be diplomatic and tactful;
  • Meticulous in your work, with strong attention to details; and
  • Ability to work under pressure, long hours and with all stakeholders (e.g. Government, industry, media, international, public).


  1. Assistant Administrative Officer (Corporate Communications)
  • Diploma in public administration that is recognized by the government of institutions of higher education or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto;
  • Have experience working as an assistant administrative officer for a minimum of 3 years;
  • Work experiences within government agencies, government-linked or public listed companies and large corporations would be highly advantageous;
  • Have experience in the filing procedure by Arkib Negara;
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; and
  • Have knowledge in computer (Microsoft Office).

Potential candidates must possess the following:

  • Meticulous in their work, with strong attention to details;
  • Accountable, responsible and hardworking;
  • Ability to work under pressure and with all levels of society;
  • Possess good attitude, communication skills and rapport with public;
  • Have a strong sense of urgency; and
  • Healthy and good track record in daily working attendance.
