In a press conference that was held on 18 October 2018 at IGEM 2018, YB Puan Yeo Bee Yin, Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change of Malaysia (MESTECC) has announced the exciting news on the improved Net Energy Metering (NEM) mechanism & Supply Agreement for Renewable Energy (SARE) starting from the 1st January 2019. As such, the Ministry has developed a new set of guidelines and policy for the implementation of these programmes.
As the implementing agency of the NEM, SEDA Malaysia together with the Ministry and Energy Commission will conduct a stakeholder engagement session to provide highlights on the latest updates on the NEM scheme and SARE guidelines and policy.
We would like to invite registered Service Providers (SPs) with SEDA Malaysia (2 representatives per organisation) to participate in the said briefing at the following details:
