PLP akan membayar tenaga boleh baharu yang disambung ke grid elektrik untuk jangka masa tertentu. Bahan api biojisim dibakar di dalam dandang untuk menghasilkan wap bertekanan tinggi. Wap bertekanan tinggi ini dimasukkan ke dalam turbin stim yang mana akan disalur ke rangkaian bilah turbin dan menyebabkan turbin berputar. Turbin ini disambungkan ke penjana elektrik dan seterusnya menghasilkan tenaga elektrik. Teknologi tersebut telah digunakan secara komersil. Teknologi dandang pembakaran boleh didapati dalam pelbagai rekabentuk dan bergantung kepada penggunaan serta ciri-ciri biojisim. Teknologi pembakaran biojisim di loji janakuasa adalah sama ada menggunakan sistem grate atau fluidize bed bagi memberikan pembakaran yang lengkap.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Seperti arang batu, biojisim boleh menjadi bahan api yang sukar diuruskan kerana ia berbentuk pepejal. Dengan menukar biojisim menjadi gas, ianya boleh menjadi satu rangkaian tenaga yang lebih meluas.Sebagai contoh, gas bersumberkan biojisim boleh dibakar secara langsung untuk tenaga haba atau memasak, ditukarkan kepada tenaga elektrik atau mekanikal (melalui alat penukaran sekunder seperti enjin pembakaran dalaman), atau digunakan sebagai gas sintetik bagi menghasilkan bahan api atau bahan kimia yang berkualiti tinggi seperti hidrogen atau metanol. Biogas merupakan sumber boleh baharu dan memenuhi syarat bagi mekanisme tarif galakan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Biogas dapat dihasilkan melalui loji pencerna anaerobik dengan mencerna sisa pepejal perbandaran atau sisa buangan terbiodegradasi. Proses pencernaan tersebut akan mencerna sisa pepejal menjadi gas metana. Gas metana ini adalah salah satu sumber boleh baharu yang dapat digunakan untuk menjana tenaga elektrik.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Biogas daripada pelupusan sampah adalah dihasilkan daripada sumber sisa organik yang terurai dalam keadaan anaerobik di tapak pelupusan sampah. Sisa pepejal akan dikambus dan dimampatkan bagi pembiakan mikrob anaerob. Gas ini terhasil dan dibebaskan secara perlahan. Gas ini boleh digunakan untuk tenaga haba dan elektrik, selain penggunaan bagi variasi enjin pembakaran dalaman.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Biogas mempunyai potensi dan kebaikan pada masa akan datang dalam membantu mengurangkan kesan perubahan iklim global. Kebiasaannya sisa kumbahan, sisa pepejal perbandaran dan sisa biodegradasi yang dibiarkan terurai dan akan membebaskan dua gas utama yang menyebabkan perubahan iklim global seperti gas nitrat dioksida dan gas metana. Gas nitrat dioksida boleh memanaskan atmosfera 310 kali ganda lebih daripada karbon dioksida. Manakala, gas metana adalah 21 kali ganda lebih daripada karbon dioksida. Setelah kesetaraan grid dicapai, pemegang kelulusan galakan akan dibayar berdasarkan padanan kos pembekalan bagi tempoh efektif yang tersisa, iaitu baki tempoh perjanjian pembelian kuasa tenaga boleh baharu mereka.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kos pembekalan&#8221; Pada tahun 2021,\u00a0<em>e-Bidding<\/em>\u00a0yang pertama untuk kuota biojisim juga telah dilancarkan dan mendapat sambutan yang baik daripada pemain industri.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tujuan utama pelaksanaan permohonan kuota FiT secara\u00a0<em>e-Bidding<\/em>\u00a0adalah untuk menggalakkan persaingan sihat antara pemaju projek atau pemilik aset melaluipenetapan kadar FiT yang berdaya saing untuk tenaga boleh baharu yang dijana oleh biogas, biojisim dan hidrokuasa kecil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SEDA Malaysia telah memperkenalkan penambahbaikan kepada proses permohonan FiT sedia ada dengan pelancaran FiT 2.0 pada 17 Oktober 2024, yang menampilkan kaedah baharu permohonan kuota FiT melalui konsep kadar tarif FiT 2-Fasa. SEDA Malaysia telah menetapkan kadar FiT asas bagi Fasa-1 untuk 10 tahun pertama. Manakala, kadar FiT asas bagi Fasa-2 untuk baki 11 tahun seterusnya akan dibida oleh syarikat berdasarkan kadar tarif<em> floor<\/em> dan <em>ceiling<\/em> yang telah ditetapkan oleh SEDA Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SEDA Malaysia komited untuk memelihara dan mempertingkatkan proses permohonan kuota FiT secara\u00a0<em>e-Bidding<\/em>\u00a0dengan rangka kerja penilaian yang lebih baik untuk memastikan permohonan kuota FiT mematuhi Akta Tenaga Boleh Baharu 2011 dan perundangan subsidiarinya bagi menuju ke arah pembangunan projek dan pengendalian pepasangan boleh baharu yang berjaya.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]Permohonan kuota tarif galakan secara e-bidding bagi sumber Biogas di bawah mekanisme Tarif Galakan telah mula diperkenalkan pada tahun 2018.
