Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia is a statutory body formed under the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Act 2011. The key role of SEDA Malaysia is to administer and manage the implementation of the feed-in tariff mechanism which is mandated under the Renewable Energy Act 2011.

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER
JOB REQUIREMENT
Technical requirements for the post are as follows:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Science/ Finance/ Business/ or related field, recognized by the Government or higher education institutions;
- At least 15 years working experience in related field;
- Experience and able to demonstrate professionalism regarding sustainable energy policies and strategies;
- Experience in strategic planning, managing change and consulting skills as well as being visionary about the energy transition;
- Experienced in drafting policies, strategies and implementation procedures as well as the ability to develop financial plans, resource management and strategic management;
- Experience of national, and international electricity issues, especially renewable energy industry and market would be highly advantageous;
- Demonstrated capability and professionalism in matters relating to sustainable energy;
- High skills in leadership, and management aspects as well as analysis and interpretation of data and information;
- Has professional communication skills in written and verbal as well as good interpersonal skills with public agencies, industry and stakeholders;
- Well-versed and knowledgeable of Malaysia’s Energy Policies, Acts, the Malaysia Electricity Supply Industry and renewable energy would be highly advantageous;
- Excellent understanding on energy issues: national, regional and global energy trends and development and has demonstrated skills to coordinate and develop research areas;
- Excellent interpersonal attribute including sensitivity, sound and strong organisational and leadership capability, able to work effectively and efficiently in a multicultural environment;
- Experience developing, authoring of roadmaps/blueprints/journals, etc.; and
- Ability to articulate with relevant stakeholders vis-a-vis Ministry and government agencies and industrial players.
