The key role of SEDA Malaysia is to administer and manage the implementation of the feed-in tariff mechanism which is mandated under the Renewable Energy Act 2011.

SENIOR DIRECTOR/ DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC PLANNING DIVISION
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, recognized by the Government or higher education institutions.
- Ideally educated to MEng or MSc level, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in national and international electricity issues, particularly in the renewable energy industry and market, would be highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 15 years’ working experience, including 5 years in managerial level.
- Good understanding of applied economic analysis, preferably within an energy/power system context, i.e., a strong grasp of factors shaping electricity demand and supply, as well as market and regulatory developments.
- Well-versed and knowledgeable of Malaysia’s Energy Policies, Acts, the Malaysia Electricity Supply Industry, and renewable energy, which would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent understanding of energy issues at national, regional, and global levels, and demonstrated ability to coordinate and develop research areas.
- Proven analytical abilities as demonstrated in past work products (analytical reports, quantitative analyses, operative models, and/or published papers).
- Teamwork, action-oriented, problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to work accurately, pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, organise work efficiently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal attributes, including sensitivity, strong organisational and leadership capability, and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Experience developing and authoring roadmaps, blueprints, journals, or related documents.
- Well-versed in spoken and written Malay and English.
