YBhg. Dato’ Hamzah bin Hussin has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer SEDA Malaysia on 22nd February 2021. YBhg. Dato’ Hamzah obtained his Bachelor of Economics (Analytical Economics) from University of Malaya in the year of 1999.

He began his career in Administrative and Diplomatic Services in year 2003 as an Assistant Secretary of Finance Division in the Finance Division, Ministry of Education and has served in various ministries and district administrations.

YBhg. Dato’ Hamzah also has a vast experience as Senior Private Secretary to Ministers and Deputy Ministers in the various ministries, namely the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Prime Minister’s Department, Ministry of Information and also the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (KeTSA).

Apart from that, YBhg. Dato’ Hamzah also has notable experience in the field of land administration and management as well as managing development projects. In 2014, he was appointed as the District Officer of Kerian, Perak for a period of 2 years. YBhg. Dato’ Hamzah also has made history when he was appointed as the first District Officer for the newly established district of Bagan Datuk, Perak in May 2016.

His in-depth portfolio and vast experiences in the field of management, administration, strategic planning and government policies are valuable attributes which are of great relevance to Malaysia’s sustainable energy agenda.

Ts. Mohammad Nazri bin Mizayauddin has over 21 years of experience in the corporate sector and government linked companies (GLCs). His vast experience spanned multiple industries such as Research and development (R&D) ,Central Banking & Financial Services and also in the Oil & Gas sector. Prior to his appointment, he was the Vice President of Bank Rakyat and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan Diperbadankan (KWAP). He also held the position of the Head of Sustainable  Development Reporting & Communications and Investment Committee Member at PETRONAS. Ts. Mohammad Nazri has also served at PETRONAS Leadership Centre (PLC) as a Finance & Treasury internal trainer. Prior to that, he served in Labuan Reinsurance Ltd, Bank Negara Malaysia and Maybank. He spent his early career at SONY as R&D Engineer covering strategy and business development.


He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Hartford, United States. He also holds an MBA from Management & Science University (MSU) and is an associate member of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) through Financial Market Association of Malaysia. In addition, he is also a member of Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) and a Certified Professional Technologist (Ts.) registered under Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT).

Ts. En. Steve Anthony Lojuntin currently the Director of Energy Demand Management Division, which responsible on the planning, implementation and monitoring of activities and programs related to energy management initiatives under SEDA Malaysia.

He received an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Malaya in 1997, an energy manager by practice and a qualified Green Building Index Facilitator (GBIF) and committee member of the Malaysia Energy Professional Association (MEPA).

He started his career as IT system engineer for TELEKOM’s MSC test-bed project and later as mechanical engineer designer with Majutek Perunding Sdn Bhd. He also has working experiences with various local and international leading energy management organisations such as Malaysian Green Technology Corporation @ GreenTech Malaysia (formerly known as Pusat Tenaga Malaysia), ECO Energy Sdn Bhd, Danish International Development Assistance (DANIDA) and Gagasan Sentral Sdn Bhd. He involved in various type of energy management services such as conducting energy audits in commercials & industrials, providing energy managers training, assisting on energy efficient design inputs, energy management & control system, retrofitting, re-commissioning & fine tuning/stabilising building services, energy performance & monitoring, operation & maintenance, low carbon green building, low carbon cities programme, green ICT, green technology, etc.

He had experience working fulltime at the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology & Water (KeTTHA) as the Local Technical Advisor (Energy Design Consultant) with DANIDA for the KeTTHA’s Low Energy Office Building project in Putrajaya, had been involved in the development of the GreenTech Malaysia Green Energy Office (GEO) (formerly known as Pusat Tenaga Malaysia Building Zero Energy Office – PTM ZEO building) in Bangi and experience in providing technical assistance to Public Works Department (JKR) on energy efficient design improvement of public buildings in Malaysia. In 2010 he had lead the development of KeTTHA’s Green Township Programme, Low Carbon Cities Framework (LCCF) and CIDB’s Construction Industry Standard (CIS) 20, GreenPASS.

He also actively involved in several government agencies technical committee such CIDB, Green ICT Committee (Malaysia Communications & Multimedia Commission) Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK-MOHR) as NOSS panel expert reviewer, Building Services Energy Efficiency Project (BSEEP-JKR-UNDP), SIRIM’s standard committee.

En. Roslan has over 20 years’ of hands-on experience in the corporate sector providing leadership and strategic counsel on corporate communications and marketing best practices to executives.

His vast achievements include proven excellence in creating and executing Public Relations and Marketing strategies with maximized results for some of the most recognizable organization in the country, spanning a variety of industries that includes Telecommunications, Government Services, Retails, Engineering and Media.

Prior to assuming the current position, his communication career portfolio includes roles as Head of Corporate Communication at SELIA Group, Director of Corporate Communication at Ministry of Plantation, Industries and Commodities, Head of Marcom at TM Sales & Services and Head of Advertising and Promotion at Radio Rediffusion. En. Roslan is a graduate of the University Technology MARA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art & Design.

En. Saiful Hakim bin Abdul Rahman has been in the utility and energy related business for over 28 years. He started his career with TNB as a TNB scholar and served the distribution division for 17 years which provides him with vast experience in Distribution Network business. He then moved to United Kingdom and worked with Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), one of the big 6 utilities in the UK based in Glasgow. Whilst in SSE, he was involved in Business Planning, Regulatory Reporting and Compliance, Asset Management and supporting the grid connections for Renewable Energy under the Transmission business. He worked closely with OFGEM, the Regulator for the UK utilities during that period in developing the Regulatory Reporting for the RIIO-T1 Regulatory Period. He developed his interest and enthusiasm on Renewable Energy whilst working there. Later he joined Landis+Gys AG, a Swiss based energy management company developing business on energy management solution such as smart metering and smart grid.

 

En. Saiful Hakim obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from University of Brighton, United Kingdom in 1993 and MBA (Strategic Management) from Aston University, United Kingdom in 2011. During his MBA time he also attended Audencia Business School, Nantes in France for lectures.

Ts. Edisham Mohd Sukor graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia with a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering. He is recognised as an industrial expert in Environment and Landscape Sector under the Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources.

At SEDA Malaysia, amongst his roles are performing technology assessment, encouraging renewable energy (RE) technology innovation and commercialisation. Ts. Edisham also involves in the human capital development related to RE trainings and supports the relevant parties/ stakeholders in the RE technologies related activities including verifying the RE technologies.

Prior to joining SEDA Malaysia, Ts. Edisham served as an Environment Manager in Worldwide Holdings Bhd whereby he was part of the project team that built the first 2MW grid-connected landfill gas power plant in Malaysia. He has a track record of more than 10 years of experience designing and operating the biogas projects.

Ts. Edisham has been here in the Authority since 2012 and his extensive knowledge in pioneering the RE industry in Malaysia is a huge advantage to SEDA Malaysia.

Pn Zafina Ahmad is a Chartered Accountant (MIA) and Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia) with over 18 years of experience, across distinctively different domains such as financial, international multinational company, information technology and government sectors. Her expertise includes in areas of financial management, financial operations, financial reporting, treasury management, business analytics and reporting, risk management, corporate governance, appraisal and modelling for tenders, investment appraisals and commercial banking. 

Upon graduation from the University of Canberra, Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting in May 1997, she joined the Commercial Banking Division of Southern Bank Berhad. Over the 7 years working with the Bank, she has gained valuable insights into the banking industry and during her tenor, had successfully developed and implemented the credit risk management approach across all prioritised customer segments together with the Bank’s consultant, McKinsey & Co. 

Pn Zafina subsequently joined QI Services Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of QI Ltd which is a multinational company with their headquarters in Hong Kong. She served as their Investment Analyst and then as Group Internal Auditor from September 2004 to October 2006 with the main role of performing the overall audit for the various offices in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Bangkok. In Dec 2006, she moved to Singapore and joined Random Connexion Pte Ltd till June 2008 and subsequently transferred to its sister company, Mystiq Mobile Pte Ltd from June 2008 to March 2009. Both companies were involved in the information technology spectrum, specialising in mobile applications. During her 2 1/2 years stint with the group as the Financial Controller, she was responsible for the financial planning, management and policies apart from the overall Human Resources and Administration functions of the group. 

Prior to joining SEDA Malaysia in February 2020, she served as Vice President in the Corporate Development & Finance Division of Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) for more than 7 years, from April 2009 to January 2017. As  Head of Finance Department at IRDA, she was responsible for the overall financial management apart from being the Permanent Member for the Procurement Committees including the Quotation Committee and Variation Order Committee.

En. Mohd Hafiz Johari joins SEDA Malaysia as Director of Human Resources & Administration on 11 October 2023 to spearhead its Human Resources & Administrative (HRA) strategies and initiatives. His experience in the Human Resource discipline spans over 22 years within various industries ranging from Telecommunication, Automotive, FMCG, Banking and Insurance/Takaful.

Throughout his career, he has held various HR leadership roles covering key areas within the HR spectrum from organizational development, performance management, total rewards, industrial relations, employee engagement, talent development and workforce planning.

En. Mohd Hafiz started his career with Telekom Malaysia in 1999 as HR Intern and steadily broadened his HR knowledge with reputable MNC and GLC companies such as Celcom, Standard Chartered, Proton Holdings, Cadbury Malaysia, Great Eastern Takaful, Danajamin, Sun Life Assurance and University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).

Prior to joining SEDA Malaysia, he served as Senior General Manager, Human Capital at Co-opbank Pertama Malaysia Berhad for three years.

En. Mohd Hafiz holds a Diploma in Banking and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, both from MARA University of Technology (UiTM). During his leisure time, En. Mohd Hafiz actively participated in various sports events such as football, cycling and badminton.

Pn. Nor Radhiha Mohd Ali graduated in 2017 from Open University Malaysia with a Master of Human Resource Management, 1996 from Universiti Utara Malaysia with a Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Business Administration and a Diploma in Marketing from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin. She has extensive years of working experiences serving in areas such as administration, marketing, human resource, etc. In 2000, she joined Pusat Tenaga Malaysia (now known as Malaysia Green Technology Corporation) as an Office Executive and from there she was exposed to energy related projects and activities. Later she joined the Corporate Affairs and Business Development Unit as Human Resource Executive for another two (2) years. In 2005, she was offered to be a Senior Officer in the Malaysia Building Integrated Photovoltaic (MBIPV) Project, a solar PV supported by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF), the project was implemented by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology & Water (KeTTHA) Malaysia via the MBIPV Project team. The objective of the project was to promote widespread and sustainable application of grid-connected photovoltaic systems in buildings. She was in-charge of administrating the ISPQ PV training, organising events relating to PV, subsuming IT roles such as updating the website as well as administrating email accounts and coordinating the Approved PV Service Providers (APVSP) programme. At the end of the MBIPV tenure, in 2011, she was part of Interim SEDA team (under KeTTHA) and was directly responsible for SEDA’s office renovation and administrative preparation as well as in all aspects of human resource activities including recruitment, selection, establishment of HR policies, and office administrations.

Puan Radhiha’s proficiency in SEDA Act 2011 [Act 726] and past record earned her a position today as a Head of Internal Audit at SEDA Malaysia.

Puan Afroza Banu Abd Halim graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia with Bachelor of Arts (English Language) with a minor in Business Administration in 2003. She entered the Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 2006 and completed her postgraduate Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) in 2008. In 2018, she was awarded with the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the UK Government to pursue her Master of Public Administration (MPA) in University of Birmingham.

Puan Afroza started her career in 2003 as an English Lecturer in private colleges before joining the public sector in 2006. Prior to joining SEDA Malaysia, she was the Principal Assistant Director in Policy, Planning and Research Division, National Antidrug Agency (NADA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Her in-depth knowledge and experiences in the government machinery serving numerous ministries and government departments, namely the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia Department of Insolvency, and Jabatan Pembangunan Wanita (JPW) earned her position today as the Head of Special Unit at SEDA Malaysia.
